Special Deposit Facility (SDF) to Remain Available Until 31 March 2018

Kuala Lumpur, 29 December 2017

Dear Valued Customers,

 

Please be informed that the SDF/SDF-i account is officially withdrawn from 1st January 2018.  From 1st January 2018, Hong Leong Bank Berhad/Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad shall credit export proceeds converted into or settled and received in Ringgit Malaysia into current accounts.  Outstanding SDF/SDF-i balances as at 31st December 2017 will continue to earn a rate/profit of 3.10% per annum until 31st March 2018.

 

Please note that the requirement by Bank Negara Malaysia for all resident exporters to convert a minimum of 75% of their total export proceeds into Ringgit Malaysia remains in force.
