What is Notifications via HLB Connect App?

• Notifications via HLB Connect App is a feature that allows you to receive your card notifications via the HLB Connect App.
• All your card notifications will also be stored in the HLB Connect App inbox, which you can easily access later by tapping on the bell icon on the top left.

Will I receive my HLB debit card-i notifications via HLB Connect App?

• Yes, if you are an HLB Connect App user.

How will I receive my HLB debit card-i notifications if I do not use the HLB Connect App?

• If you are not an HLB Connect App user, you will continue receiving those notifications via Short Message Service (SMS).

What if I am currently receiving email for my HLB debit card-i notifications?

• Email notification will be discontinued and you will start receiving your card notifications either as notifications via HLB Connect App or SMS.

Do I need to sign up to receive notifications via HLB Connect App?

• No, customer who have registered for the HLB Connect App will be automatically opted-in to receive notifications via HLB Connect App.

How do I retrieve my card notifications in the HLB Connect App?

• Tap on HLB Connect App on your device.
• Tap on Bell icon on the left top of the home page.
• Tap on TRANSACTIONS, you will able to retrieve previous messages.

Can I switch from receiving notifications via HLB Connect App to SMS?

• Yes, you may opt to switch from notifications via HLB Connect App to SMS upon request by calling Hong Leong Contact Centre (HLCC) at 03-7626 8899.

Can I switch from receiving notifications via HLB Connect App to Email?

• No. Effective 20 August 2022, card notifications via email will no longer be available.

Will I still be able to receive notifications via HLB Connect App if I uninstall the App?

• No. Instead, an SMS will be sent to you within 15 minutes.

Note:

i. Provided that you did not unbind the device from the HLB Connect App, when you reinstalled the HLB Connect App, you are still able to retrieve the notifications via the HLB Connect App’s inbox

ii. If you uninstall and unbind mobile from HLB Connect App, you will not able to receive the notifications via HLB Connect App, instead, you will instead receive your card notifications via SMS.

Will I still receive card notifications via HLB Connect App if I turn off my phone notification setting for HLB Connect App?

• Yes, but you will not receive a pop-up notification in your phone. All your card notifications will be stored in the HLB Connect App inbox, which you can easily access later by tapping on the bell icon on the top left (Please refer to the answer to Question 6). However, for security reasons, we highly encourage you to turn on your phone notification setting for HLB Connect App in order to receive notifications via HLB Connect App timely.

What if I have multiple devices with HLB Connect App installed, will all the devices receive the card notifications?

• Yes, all your devices will be able to receive notifications via HLB Connect App simultaneously.

Note: Each Connect Account can only be linked/bound to HLB Connect App on up to five (5) devices.

Will there be any charges incurred if I receive notifications via the HLB Connect App?

• No, there will be no charges incurred.

If there is no internet connection, will I still receive notifications via HLB Connect App?

• No. However, once your internet connection resumes, you may find your card notifications in the HLB Connect App’s inbox.
• In the event the system detects that the notifications are not delivered to your HLB Connect App after 15 minutes, the system will trigger SMS to you.

Will I receive OTP via HLB Connect App?

• No, you will continue receiving OTP via SMS.
