Launching of Hong Leong Debit Card-i under Visa Card
Dear Valued Customer,
Effective 1 January 2023, all new applications, renewals and replacements of Hong Leong Debit Card-i or Hong Leong Junior Debit Card-i will be issued under Visa Card.
Please access HLISB’s website at www.hlisb.com.my/debitcard-i to view the Hong Leong Debit Card-i Terms and Conditions (T&C) and Product Disclosure Sheets (PDS) and ensure to be kept up-to-date on any changes or variations to the T&C and PDS.
Kindly take note that the new T&C and PDS will be made available effective 1 January 2023.

Q. What is the impact of this launching of Debit Card-i under Visa Card on the existing Debit Card-i customer under MasterCard?
A. There is no impact on both existing or new customers. However, any new card issuance, replacement and renewal will be issued with Debit Card-i under Visa Card effective 1 January 2023.
Q. Do I need to change my current Debit Card-i under MasterCard to Debit Card-i under Visa Card on 1 January 2023 onwards?
A. No. you can still use your current Debit Card-i under MasterCard until expires.
Q. Is there any impact if I would like to change my current Debit Card-i MasterCard to Debit Card-i under Visa Card?
A. Yes, there is an impact if you are currently signing up for any Standing Instruction or Auto Billing.
Q. Do I need to change my card information with any billers that I have set up for Standing Instruction or automatic payments?
A. Yes, each biller will need to be notified of the new card number, expiration date, and CVV code.
Q. Are there any fees/charges if I would like to replace my existing Debit Card-i under MasterCard with Debit Card-i under Visa Card?
A. Yes. Fees will be imposed for card replacement. The replacement fees are shown in the table below.

Q. How can I get my current Debit Card-i MasterCard to be replaced with Debit Card-i under Visa Card?
A. You may replace your current Debit Card-i under MasterCard with Debit Card-i under Visa Card at HLB Connect at www.hongleongconnect.my or alternatively you may visit any HLISB/HLB branches.
For replacement/renewal via HLB Connect please refer to the following steps:
Step 1: Login at www.hongleongconnect.my
Step 2: Go to ‘Other Services’ > ‘Debit/ATM Card’ > ‘Request Replacement Card’
Step 3: Select Account > Choose ‘Block & Replace’ > Click ‘Submit’
Step 4: Select Card Type > Confirm Details > Check ‘Application Summary’
Q. When will I receive my replacement Debit Card-i under Visa Card if I applied/replaced via HLB Connect?
A. You will receive the replacement Debit Card-i under Visa Card within 21 business days.
Q. I have applied for the replacement card via HLB Connect on 28 December 2022, which card will I receive?
A. Debit Card-i under MasterCard. All applications for replacement card via HLB Connect prior to 1 January 2023 will receive Debit Card-i under MasterCard.
Q. What happened to my old Debit Card-i under MasterCard once I replaced it with Debit Card-i under Visa Card?
A. The old Debit Card-i under MasterCard will be automatically cancelled once you renewed to Debit Card-i under Visa Card
Q. Will the Debit Card-i under Visa Card need to be activated once replaced?
A. Yes, the card can be activated at HLB Connect (www.hongleongconnect.my) or HLB/HLISB branches.
