While we have seen early positive signs in controlling the spread of Covid-19 in Malaysia through the Movement Control Order (MCO) uncertainty is still in the air and this will have an impact on our socio-economic activities for some time to come.
To help our Customers during these difficult times, we have introduced financing deferment and financial relief programs best suited to meet your financial needs and payments cash flow circumstances.

Financing Deferment Program for Individuals and SMEs
Important Updates on Hire Purchase-i (Auto Financing-i)
On 1 April 2020, HLISB introduced a six –months Hire Purchase-i monthly payments deferment program for eligible Hire Purchase-i customers whereby your monthly instalment for the period commencing 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2020 (“Deferment Period”) have been deferred to the end of the financing tenure (“Deferred Instalments”).
We now need customers to complete a simple consent process to formalise the Deferment Program so as ensure we comply with the Hire-Purchase Act 1967.
Customers who wish to continue to participate in the 6-months payments moratorium will need to provide their Consent to us by 15 June, 2020.
Please indicate your participation in the deferment program by accepting the accompanying Consent to Hire Purchase-i Deferment Program by 30 September 2020.

Below is a quick summary of the various options that Customers have had since the rollout on 1 April 2020 of the 6-months financing payment deferment program:

If you do not provide your consent to participate by 15 June 2020, you will need to make payments on the due date commencing June 2020 to avoid compensation charges. |

Customers must give instructions to their respective banks to amend the SI maintained with those banks. |
Corporate Customers
Corporate Customers can apply for financing deferment through their Relationship Managers and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Updated Branch and Self-Service Terminals Operation Hours
Pursuant to the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the “SOP Pembukaan Semula Ekonomi” Guideline by the Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN), in our effort to keep our customers, employees and the communities around us safe, please note that:
- Branch Operating Hours: 9.30am – 3.00pm until the end of MCO.
- Self-Service Terminals will be operating from 6am-12am daily.
- Cheques collected from our Cheque Deposit Machines after 3.00pm will be cleared the next banking day.
- Only five (5) customers will be allowed to be in the banking hall at any one time for social distancing.
- Priority service for senior citizens, expecting mothers and persons with disabilities.
- Customers visiting the branch are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Complete the Visitor Declaration Form
- Allow body temperature to be taken
- Wear a face mask before entering our branch premises
Please note that customers may be refused entry to the branch premise if they don’t follow the guidelines. Your cooperation is important in protecting the public health and wellbeing of all our employees and customers.
Important reminder: Please sanitize your hands each time you use the pen and/or the fingerprint biometric reader at the counter.

Beware of Covid-19 Scams
We urge you to be extra cautious and vigilant at all times, especially with the Covid-19 SCAMS that have been going around on chats, social media, email and Covid-19 related websites, offering safety advice and real-time case update.
These sites are being used to host phishing attacks, distribute malwares or tricking Customers to pay for fake Covid-19 cures, supplements, vaccines as well as providing personal and banking information purportedly from various government agencies.
Do not share your personal and bank account details, including credit and debit cards’ information at all times.
