Hong Leong Bank Berhad now serves you with expanded delivery channels, products and services

Beginning today, all former-EON Bank branches will be re-designated as Hong Leong Bank branches, effectively allowing our customers from both banks to conduct banking transactions at up to 329 branches and over 1,400 Self-Service Terminals (ATMs, Cheque Deposit Machines and Cash Deposit Machines).

The Vesting Date for EONCAP Islamic Bank will be announced in due course. It remains on track. Until then, as an Islamic Bank accountholder, please continue banking as usual at any of our 329 branches.

A wider network to serve you

Beginning today, all former-EON Bank branches will be re-designated as Hong Leong Bank branches, effectively allowing all our customers from both banks to conduct banking transactions at all of our 329 branches and over 1,400 Self-Service Terminals (ATMs, Cheque Deposit Machines and Cash Deposit Machines). Transactions and services available would include: deposits, withdrawals and transfers of funds for Current and Savings Accounts ("CASA"); financing and card payments; inquiries via Call Centre for cards, home financing, CASA, Term Deposits and personal financing; blocking of cards which were lost, stolen, or suspected of fraud via the Call Centre as well as the activation of cards. Customers will also be able to deposit cheques at all branches and Cheque Deposit Machines for CASA, financing and cards; as well as make cash deposits at all branches and Cash Deposit Machines for CASA, financing and cards.

Besides the convenience that comes from an enlarged footprint, customers will also enjoy a host of value-added benefits, such as a waiver of charges for MEPS ATM, interbank funds transfer (IBFT) and interbank Giro (IBG) transactions between Hong Leong Bank and the former-EON Bank.

A full list of services and transactions available can be found on our website at www.hlb.com.my.

Payment and transactions instruments by the former-EON Bank still valid

Payment and transaction instruments issued by the former-EON Bank, which include cards, cheques and bank drafts, will valid up to 30 June 2012 or until further notification when they will be replaced with Hong Leong-issued instruments.

To facilitate a smooth transition, customers of the former-EON Bank will receive a new Hong Leong Bank/Hong Leong Islamic Bank passbook when they conduct their next transaction at any branch, while ATM and debit cards can only be replaced at domicile branches.

Moving forward as a Community-centric Bank

With today's integration milestone achieved, we have much more to look forward to as a strong and united Hong Leong Bank. The overarching priority for the bank moving ahead is how we can further entrench ourselves in the communities we operate in and become a real and relevant part of their daily lives. This will certainly involve a lot of effort across our branch strategy, customer service quality, as well as product and service development. I am confident that we are able to achieve this, especially by optimising and leveraging fully on our 329-strong branch network. We remain focused on delivering the Hong Leong Bank promise of being a bank for our communities.

Yours truly,

Ms. Yvonne Chia
Group Managing Director/Chief Executive
Hong Leong Bank Berhad
