From today, 1 November 2011, Hong Leong Islamic Bank has completed Malaysia's first vesting of an Islamic Bank with EONCAP Islamic Bank Berhad.
Following this, you will now be able to perform various transactions across our entire branch network; enjoy an expanded suite of Shariah-compliant products and services; and discover how we are going to serve you better as a more community-centric bank.
A wider network to serve you
Beginning today, all former-EONCAP Islamic Bank branches will be re-designated as Hong Leong Islamic Bank branches, effectively allowing all our customers from both banks to conduct banking transactions at all of its branches as well as ATMs, Cheque Deposit Machines and Cash Deposit Machines. In addition, the reach will also include access to all 329 Hong Leong Bank branches.
Transactions and services available would include: deposits, withdrawals and transfers of funds for Current and Savings Accounts (""CASA"); financing and card payments; inquiries via Call Centre for cards, home financing, CASA, Term Deposits and personal financing; blocking of cards which were lost, stolen, or suspected of fraud via the Call Centre as well as the activation of cards and cheque stop-payment requests. Customers will also be able to deposit cheques at all branches and Cheque Deposit Machines; as well as make cash deposits at branches and Cash Deposit Machines for CASA, financing and cards.
Besides the convenience that comes from an enlarged footprint, customers will also enjoy a host of benefits, such as a waiver of charges for MEPS ATMs, interbank funds transfer (IBFT) and interbank Giro (IBG) transactions between Hong Leong Islamic Bank and the former-EONCAP Islamic Bank.

From today onwards, the bank will also feature an enhanced suite of Shariah-compliant products and services, as a result of putting together the best features and benefits offered by both banks and tailored specifically to the needs of customers and communities.
HLISB and the former-EIBB customers may also enjoy the expanded suite of products and services across the Hong Leong Bank Group's enlarged footprint of 329 branches as well as more than 1,400 Self-Service Terminals, driven by a combined workforce of both banks.
Payment and transactions instruments by the former-EONCAP Islamic Bank still valid
Payment and transaction instruments issued by the former-EONCAP Islamic Bank, which include debit, and ATM as well as cheques and bank drafts, will remain until further notification when they will be replaced with Hong Leong Islamic Bank-issued instruments. To facilitate a smooth transition, customers of the former-EONCAP Islamic Bank will receive a new HLISB passbook when they conduct their next transaction at any branch, while ATM and debit cards can only be replaced at domicile branches.
On track towards full integration
The bank will continue its initiatives towards full integration, which will include the complex exercise of migrating all the systems, processes and policies onto a single IT platform. In the meantime, customers and business associates can fully expect business-as-usual with uninterrupted service and continuity of banking operations.
